3 Things that Ireland Spoiled for Me {Guest Post by Kung Fu Princess on the Road}

As my husband and I are finishing up our trip in Ireland, I've got a very appropriately-themed guest post for you today. Sabine, the blogger and martial arts lover behind Kung Fu Princess on the Road, has had some incredible experiences on the Emerald Isle; I'm happy to hand over the blog to her today so she can share how beautiful, welcoming, and safe Ireland is with you.

If I could wish to live in any place in the world, right now I would choose Ireland because of the people, the countryside, and the magic of it. I am madly in love with this beautiful country!
But sometimes I wish I would have never went there because Ireland spoiled three of my favorite things for me.

I used to love every place which had water. The huge wide sea, whether it was waves crashing against shores or just gently rolling around my ankles when I was standing on a beach. But after seeing Ireland's coastlines, all the other places lost their magic. The vibrant blue of the ocean, bright green of the land and the gentle blue sky. This is why there are so many poems about Ireland. The nature there is breathtaking and it tickles every bit of this poetry out of us. I can't help it, other countries just can't compare. Ireland spoiled the Sea for me.
2) Bars and Pubs.

The warmth and coziness in an Irish Pub, like stepping into somebody's living room. The men in the corner starts playing the fiddle, somebody else claps and the lad at the bar gets two spoons and plays drums.
Even if you go alone, it never feels strange. You'll feel welcome right away and give or take 10 minutes ,you are going to have a grand conversation with some random person.
Everybody is relaxed, friendly and enjoying themselves. You never stay a stranger long in Ireland. Out of all my Pub visits througout the country, each one was different, but all of them were great.
P.S. Not to mention that I have become a complete Guinness addict and let's face it, for some reason, Guinness just doesn't taste as good outside of Ireland.

I love riding buses. It's convenient, fast and cheap. But after hitchhiking in Ireland it feels like such a dread to book a bus and go to the station. Instead I could just draw a nice signboard with my next destination, stand on the road and the longest we ever had to wait were 30 minutes, which was as long as it would have taken us to walk to the bus stop.
Check out if your driver looks trustworthy, hop in, have great conversations, get awesome tips for your next destination and be there in half of the time. I really miss this.
But then again, Ireland, is for some reason, I think, the only country where I would dare to hitchhike. We did it quite often, and I loved each one of these rides. The Irish people are just so amazing ;)
Now, public transport feels so boring and exhausting to me.
So, what's the conclusion? If you treasure these three things, don't go to Ireland. It just won't be the same afterwards.
Who am I kidding, you definitely have to go to Ireland! Just the ability to experience these three things is already worth every cent spent on your plane ticket.
I will definitely go back; I don't even have another choice. Another trip either will heal me from these three things because I will have my first bad experiences, or I will become completely hooked by Ireland. I am guessing it will be the second option!
