4) Tour the Magoffin Home
The
has many of its original furnishings so visitors can get a feel for what life was like during the late 1800s. Octavia and Joseph Magoffin were community leaders in the early modern settlement days of El Paso: Octavia led the area's charity efforts for many years, while Joseph served as a county commissioner, judge, and alderman.
Today, the Magoffin Home is El Paso's only historic home open to the public.
5) See the Border from the Wyler Aerial Tramway
Located in Franklin Mountains State Park, the Tramway ride starts at an elevation of 4,692 feet. Hop on and ride another 1,000 feet to the top of Ranger Peak.
From this perspective, you can see the entirety of El Paso, across the border into Mexico, and even into New Mexico and Arizona on a clear day.
